first of all there is no "allowing us to stream" we are all entitled to this music, your letting this site dictate what you listen to and how you act. this music was made for us to copy and trade, If Jerry knew what was going on these days hed be totally disgusted. especially when another head ungraciously attacks another for asking for shows.

yes copywright laws are obselete, if they still applied i wouldnt be able to dl on limewire or bearshare, so there, your comepletely wrong.

and btw just because im not striving to sound like an intellectual doesnt mean im a moron. your the ones thinking inside the box....

This "site" is a legitimate library and respecting the wishes of the GDP. Do any of us like it? No! Do you have the right to fuck it up for the rest of us? Absolutely not!!! Were you here when ALL Grateful Dead was pulled? I doubt it, or you would not be being such an arrogant ass!

That's all, have a nice day!

:)

well, fuck me up the ass, looks like i should sue my law school for that worthless piece of paper hanging on my wall.

glad jerry told you his wishes - because buddha knows that in 1995 he certainly understood the implications of thousands of folks downloading a show at the click of a button as opposed to a trading COMMUNITY which are still allowed to freely trade shows

just because the technology exists to download shows, that doesn't give you the automatic right to what is available. Even John Perry Barlow would tell you the same.

Guess I can't delete when accessing the site through Mozilla Firefox, so let me just say as a former resident of Cleveland, not everyone there is a dick.

But this guy really set himself up for the reaming he's getting. What a pissy attitude.

That's why I modified it - I lived there for a summer and will be the first to admit there are some really cool things about Cleveland and I know some great people there and from there. Next beer is on me at the Grog and Tankard.

And like someone mentioned the other day, Ohio has lots of beautiful countryside.

"Fuck 'people's music'." laughs Jerry Garcia from a reclining seat in the plush, wood-finished business offices of the band. "I mean, I thought it was a dumb discussion even when it was the big thing awhile back to talk about how music should be free... that music belongs to the people and musicians rip them off. That kind of thing really irks me.

Whether I'm thinking inside the box, outside the box, or ready to put you in the box and bury you six feet 'neath the ground is neither here nor there. What pisses me off is you strutting in here with a hand full of gimme thinking that in some way you are owed, that you have rights to this stuff and frankly friend you are not and you do not.

Hah! But does the esteemed tigerbolt know that I am already wearing my stylish official World Rock Paper Scissors Society (www.worldrps.com) t-shirt and stand ready to do battle?

(You reckon we've hijacked this thread now?)

If I jump in, it has probably been officially hijacked... Let me consult the "Direwolf Bumper Book of Fun and Forum Posting for Tiny Tots" for a proper ruling...

I love the expression "handful of gimme". Thanks.

Wish I could take the credit but I'm afraid I can't. It's a line from a Fred Neil song, called 'Handful of Gimme'

You waltz in here
With a handful of gimme
A mouthful of much obliged
I go home feeling empty
From all you signify

I thought it was appropriate to the situation.
